My Story

I have been contemplating on what I want to say here. I want to give you all an accurate version of my life, but not make it too emotional for you. I want it to be something you can read, reflect on, and learn from. My life isn't a sad sob story, but there are many things in my life I have done and experienced that have been sad, but have got me where I am today.

  So here goes nothing...

School: I am 23, LDS, and going to school at Utah Valley University pursuing a degree in the Communication field of study with an emphasis in Public Relations. I am also working on receiving a double Minor in Music and Creative Writing. I am a Sophomore and have made so many new friends and "family members" just being here! I have grown fond of UVU and the people who are faculty and also those who are busy students doing their jobs of being awesome. I am currently a Wolverine Ambassador, which is also associated with the Center for the Advancement of Leadership. It's only been 3 weeks and it's been a HUGE learning experience for me.
I am currently in the Chamber Choir and the Men's (MAN) Choirs. I am a Bass 2, which is the lowest part a Male can sing, in Chamber, and a Tenor 1, (which is the highest part, which is written for the male voice). It's been a crazy experience with both choirs being one right after the other. Ha ha! It's been stretching my range and helping me be a better performer.
Along with music being a great love of mine, and being as involved as I feel I am, I proudly state and tell you that I am the Public Relations Chairman for the A Cappella Club on UVU Campus, as well as the Attire Coordinator for Men's Choir. I am a busy bee... bzzz....bzzz...

Family: I love my family with all my BUTT! I would say my heart, but my butt is bigger! Ha ha! I'm just kidding! I do love my family with everything I am: heart, butt, and all! :D
I have 6 siblings, making 7 of us kids. I am the 6th child, 5th boy, and the second to the youngest. I have 5 older siblings, 4 older brothers, an older sister, and a younger sister (who is my best friend). My parents are the most AMAZING people on the planet. My dad taught me the value of hard work and it has paid off in mounds. My mom is a very dedicated person and has taught me how to love unconditionally.
I come from a blended family. My parents divorced their spouses when I was really young. which made my dad (Kevin) and my mom (Tamara) single parents. Dad had Kyle and Kim, and Mom had Jared, Taylor, Parker, and me. They weren't looking for a relationship, or even to get married when they found each other (Mom called Dad to roto-till her garden) they were married 3 months later. When I was 3 Mom and Dad had my little sister, Ciara and I claim her to be the one that brings us all together! I was adopted to Dad when I was 7 as well as Jared, Taylor, and Parker. Kyle got back from serving an LDS Mission and asked Mom to adopt him, so she did. Kim came back from a 2 year stay in TX, (living a rough lifestyle, and wanting to get back on track) and asked Mom to adopt her, so she did. We are all one big happy family here and I love each and every nitch and notch I have gone through with all of my family members.

Other: The more you read this blog the more you will get to know me, who I am, what I love, and what I am passionate about. There will be personal stories and experiences that will be told in this blog, so I hope you will take it for what it's worth! :D
